Business Policies

We at D&K Education 180 are excited about every opportunity to teach and help others. As a mobile tutoring business, we are able to meet students at a location that is best for them whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening. In order to continue serving our customers in this way, we must adapt.

  • 1 hour prior notice must be given when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment, or cancellation fee of one hour will be charged.  This applies to online sessions as well.

  • With online sessions the tutor will wait 15 minutes after start time for student to sign on. If student is late signing on, the time spent waiting will be deducted from the time allotted for the session and the full price of the session will be charged.

  • With online sessions if student fails to sign on within the 15 minutes the session will be treated as a no-show and the cancelation fee of one hour session will be charged.

  • All sessions must be scheduled with at least 24hrs notice or a fee will be assessed to the session.

  • Invoices must be paid in full, on time, or we reserve the right to suspend sessions until payment is made. Unless otherwise discussed, payment for email invoices are due by seventh (7th) day after invoice sent; check or cash payment is due by next appointment or by seventh (7th) day after billed appointment, whichever comes first.

  • When a customer refers someone to us and it results in a tutoring session with that new customer, the customer who referred us may enjoy a free hour of tutoring in a future session.

Sickness

Our tutors often meet with multiple students in a day. It is very important that our tutors are aware of any sickness in the home before the session.

Students must announce any sickness before the session. Sessions will be canceled or moved to Zoom until symptoms subside.

Symptoms include but are not limited to:

Runny nose, cough, sneeze, fever, loss of smell.

With students sitting in close proximity to the tutor, we want to mitigate any possible spread of sickness to additional students the tutor works with.

The tutor reserves the right to end the session prematurely if not properly informed of sickness in the home and the student will be charged for the session.

Our tutors are contractors and have the freedom to choose whether or not to wear a mask during a session.  We leave this up to the student and tutor to decide their comfort level.

As a reminder, available payment options are Check, Credit Card (through Venmo app or Square.com invoice). If you need to change your current payment method, please let us know.

We cannot express how much we appreciate your business. Our ability to continue helping others achieve their best is because of you. Thank you for your support and for being a part of the D&K Education 180 family.
