Kathryn Fletcher Henley
Kathryn Henley is the owner. She received her Bachelor’s of Science as well as her Master’s of Arts in Biology from the University of North Florida. In her studies, her degree focused on Molecular/Cell Biology and Biotechnology. While at UNF Kathryn performed intense research on the mouse retina.
Kathryn taught as a graduate teaching assistant while completing her masters degree. She was nominated for Outstanding Undergraduate Educator during her time there. During and after earning her Masters, she began teaching lecture and laboratory courses at nursing colleges in the Jacksonville area. As a formal instructor, she has taught everything from General Biology to Anatomy and Physiology to Microbiology, and much more. While there she received the Faculty of the Year award for the State of Florida from FAPSC. Kathryn has been tutoring since High School and has a plethora of experience to offer in all subjects.
Kathryn is a highly motivated, intelligent, and caring individual which has garnered her the following accolades:

Amy Pahota
Amy Pahota is our office manager. She handles the scheduling, billing, and everyday operations.
She got her AA from Florida State College of Jacksonville. She has known Kathryn for 20 years and is excited to be a part of a company that focuses on individual educational development.
She and her husband, Ryan, are the proud parents of their children, Luke and Naomi. She spends her time between family, church, friends, and chasing their Sulcata tortoise and 2 dogs.
Artina Coma
Areas of concentration: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, English, German, SAT/ACT prep.
Artina is a Connecticut native and earned her bachelors at Southern Connecticut State University. After graduating, she has been in public education serving many roles. After being a paraprofessional and teaching assistant for 8 years, she received her Masters in Ed in School Counseling at Univeristy of North Florida. She has enjoyed her time as a school counselor but misses being in the classroom.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the beach at sunrise, playing ultimate frisbee, and is an avid soccer fan.
Michelle Varela
Areas of concentration: Elementary subjects, Pre Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, English, Spanish, History, Reading Comprehension, ACT Prep.
Michelle Varela was born and raised in New York City and is a passionate educator dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. She is currently a VPK teacher in St. Johns County and has experience supporting students in middle school reading, math, STEM/STEAM education, and special education. Michelle holds a Master’s degree and has worked with diverse learners, including students with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, creating personalized and engaging learning experiences that help students build confidence and succeed.
Education has always been a priority for Michelle. She graduated high school with a 4.75 GPA and was a 100% Bright Futures Scholar, giving her a deep understanding of the dedication, support, and strategies needed to achieve academic success. As a bilingual educator in English and Spanish, Michelle is passionate about making learning accessible, encouraging, and meaningful for every student. Her goal is to help students recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop a lifelong love of learning
Jorge Guevara
Areas of concentration: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Spanish.
Jorge received his Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration. He has been tutoring for
over 20 years, helping students in Math and Spanish.
As a native Spanish speaker, he is especially prepared to guide students in ESL, as well as writing and speaking in Spanish.
He spends his spare time with his wife and children, playing guitar, and DIY projects.
He loves helping students turn struggles into smiles, gain confidence, and encouraging learning.
Matt Considine
Areas of concentration: All elementary subjects, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I & II, Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, SAT and ACT prep.
Matthew was born and raised in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, where he attended St. Joseph Academy. While there, Matthew played multiple sports and was the captain and quarterback for the football team. He helped the Flashes achieve their first undefeated season in school history, graduating with a 17-2 record as a starter and as salutatorian of his class with a 4.64 gpa. Matthew received the St. John’s Country STAR award and was named to Times Union’s 2017 Top 10 list of scholar-athletes. He also loved volunteering for Camp I Am Special, a week-long, overnight summer camp for people with mental and/or physical disabilities.
Matthew then attended Wake Forest University where he played college football while pursuing his interest in orthopedics. He was named to the 2018 ACC Academic Honor Roll before transferring to the College of the Holy Cross where he graduated receiving his Bachelor’s in Philosophy while on the pre-med track.
Since then, Matthew has been privately training QBs and has been a positional coach, coaching RBs at ECSU. He feels his experience teaching football translates directly to tutoring academics and is excited to help students learn. He understands that the key to mentoring any student is patience with the understanding that every student learns in their own unique way.
In his free time, he likes to exercise, watch movies/TV, go to the beach or boating, golf, play video games, and try new cooking recipes.
CJ Woods
Areas of concentration: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry Physics 1, Calculus 1.
C.J. was born in Jacksonville but currently lives in Gainesville while he's continuing my education. He graduated from Santa Fe College with an Associate of Arts in physics and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in physics and a Masters degree in Material Science at the University of Florida with plans to attend law school.
CJ has always enjoyed helping both classmates and students develop methods for solving problems; particularly, methods that encourage a holistic and conceptual understanding of the situation that do not require hours of memorization. Rather than answering questions with “that’s just how it works,” he hopes to encourage curiosity and cultivate a true love for learning.
Outside of education and tutoring, he enjoys volunteering and participating in local events. In his free time he likes to spend time with family, read books, watch tv, and take trips to the park or beach with his dog.
LaToya Williams
Areas of concentration: Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English, Reading Comprehension.
LaToya is a native of South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Polymer & Textile Chemistry from Clemson University. She also holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration. LaToya is a former 8th grade science teacher and is currently an English Teacher.
In her spare time; she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and running 5ks across the country.
Steve Ruddell
Areas of concentration: Elementry and Middle School Math, Algebra 1, Spanish.
Stephen Ruddell-Lopez is a highly accomplished business professional, fully bilingual in English and Spanish; who has lived, studied and worked in over 8 countries. He has a diverse educational background and extensive experience in International Business Development, Entrepreneurship, and Teaching. He holds a Business Administration & International Relations degree from Lake Forest College, IL, an MBA from IE University in Madrid-Spain, an MS from the University of Chile and currently working on his MPA at UNF.

Fady is an Egyptian-American living in Jacksonville, Florida, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and experience across several exciting areas of the field.
Throughout his career, he's worked in materials chemistry, synthesizing rocket fuel, polymer chemistry, developing polyimide aerogels to support advancements in space exploration, and analytical chemistry, where he analyzed materials to determine their composition and manufacturing processes. Today, he works as a polymer chemist developing contact lenses, combining science and innovation to improve people's lives.
He's passionate about both learning and teaching science. He enjoys helping students overcome the same challenges he once faced, and believes every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and practice. Fady's goal is to build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and help students achieve their academic goals.
Outside of work, you'll usually find him at the gym, rock climbing, or learning French."
Reese Singleton

With over 9 years of experience in U.S. public education and 6 years of teaching students from around the world online, Reese Singleton is a dedicated educator who believes every student can succeed with the right encouragement, personalized instruction, and a little fun along the way. A Jacksonville native, and graduate of Mandarin High School and Jacksonville University, she knows what it takes to aim high.
Known for her warm, energetic teaching style, Reese creates a space that builds confidence, inspires curiosity, and helps students develop a genuine love of learning. She understands that no two students learn the same way, so every session is tailored to meet each learner's individual strengths, goals, and learning style.
Having taught students from kindergarten through high school—and learners from dozens of countries—Reese brings extensive experience working with diverse learning styles, cultures, and abilities. Her interactive, student-centered approach encourages students to ask questions, think critically, communicate effectively, and become independent learners.
In addition to her classroom experience, Reese has served as a curriculum leader, mentor for new teachers, student council advisor, and certified online ESL instructor. She is also pursuing a Master's degree in English Language Learning.
Her goal is simple: to help every student build confidence, achieve their goals, and discover that learning can be both meaningful and enjoyable.

Ishaan Lamba
Areas of Concentration: Neuroscience, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus.
Ishaan was raised in Jacksonville before moving to Boston to study Behavioral Neuroscience at Northeastern University. During his undergraduate studies, he completed co-ops at Massachusetts General Hospital and Orna Therapeutics, researching Huntington’s disease and RNA therapeutic biology. After earning his Bachelor’s degree, he worked at Harvard Medical School, where he studied molecular neurogenetics and neurodegenerative diseases. During his time at HMS, he mentored younger scientists, teaching undergraduates and high school interns advanced molecular biology techniques and concepts.
Ishaan’s philosophy on tutoring is breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, to allow for complete understanding. He is particularly passionate about teaching biology and STEM subjects, and thinks that there is always an effective way to teach and learn.
In his free time Ishaan likes to spend time reading, playing video games, practicing archery, and painting.
Mergime Dosku

Mergime is an educator with a uniquely global background, having lived across the United States and internationally. This experience shaped her ability to connect with students of all personalities, learning styles, and academic needs. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Arizona State University and completed her Master of Public Health, James Lind Institute in Geneva, Switzerland, strengthening the analytical and communication skills that make her an exceptional tutor.
She has extensive experience tutoring all subjects for elementary, middle, and high school students, along with ACT/SAT preparation and support for college‑level coursework. Students love working with her because she makes learning feel clear, calm, and achievable. She breaks down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps and helps students build confidence in subjects that once felt overwhelming.
Professionally, Mergime works in healthcare across multiple therapeutic areas, where she teaches teams, builds frameworks, and explains complex ideas in ways people can easily understand. She brings that same clarity and structure to her tutoring, meeting students exactly where they are and helping them grow from there.
Outside of tutoring, Mergime brings an energetic, approachable personality that students connect with. She loves spending time with her dog Maverick, hiking, going to the beach, playing tennis, sand volleyball, exploring adrenaline‑filled activities, and learning new things. Her curiosity and enthusiasm carry into every session, creating an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn.
Adham Elfeky

Adham is a graduate student studying Materials Science & Engineering at UNF. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry and currently works as a laboratory technician at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care.
He has over 6 years of tutoring experience and specialize in helping students of all ages, from children to adults, in math, physics, chemistry, and standardized tests (SAT, ACT, & ASVAB). He finds joy in tutoring and helping people develop to their potential. This role is both rewarding and fulfilling to him as the best way to learn is to teach.

Amber Garcia graduated from Sam Houston State University with her bachelor’s degree in health sciences. She has a strong background in science, research, student support, and academic leadership. Throughout her academic and professional career, she has worked in various student-focused environments and has experience helping others understand complex topics, develop effective study habits, and build confidence in their academic and leadership abilities.
Amber’s academic background includes extensive coursework in the health and sciences, including human anatomy and physiology, human biology, cell biology, epidemiology, and health and medical terminology. She also has several years of undergraduate research experience, where she collaborated with research teams, followed detailed protocols, analyzed information, and worked closely with mentors.
As a tutor, Amber takes a patient and encouraging approach to learning. She enjoys breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps and adapting her approach to each student's individual learning style and needs. Her goal is to help students strengthen their academic skills while becoming more confident and independent learners.
Rami Harb

Rami is Lebanese-American and has lived in Texas for 8 years now. He is a recent graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. Rami is also bilingual, speaking both English and Arabic fluently.
He has privately tutored classmates and peers for 6 years throughout his academic career. Rami believes in building a healthy environment for people to learn and encourages critical thinking, while encouraging efficient study habits outside of tutoring. Teaching is a strong passion of Rami’s that he hopes to pursue professionally later in his career.
Rami’s hobbies include playing and watching soccer, pickle ball, video games, watching movies, and football.
