Kathryn Fletcher Henley

Kathryn Henley is the owner. She received her Bachelor’s of Science as well as her Master’s of Arts in Biology from the University of North Florida. In her studies, her degree focused on Molecular/Cell Biology and Biotechnology. While at UNF Kathryn performed intense research on the mouse retina.

            Kathryn taught as a graduate teaching assistant while completing her masters degree. She was nominated for Outstanding Undergraduate Educator during her time there. During and after earning her Masters, she began teaching lecture and laboratory courses at nursing colleges in the Jacksonville area. As a formal instructor, she has taught everything from General Biology to Anatomy and Physiology to Microbiology, and much more. While there she received the Faculty of the Year award for the State of Florida from FAPSC. Kathryn has been tutoring since High School and has a plethora of experience to offer in all subjects.

            Kathryn Fletcher is a highly motivated, intelligent, and caring individual which has garnered her the following accolades:

- Making a Difference award- Fortis College- 2016

-Teacher of year for the State of Florida from FAPSC- 2016

Amy Pahota

Amy Pahota is our office manager. She handles the scheduling, billing, and everyday operations.

She got her AA from Florida State College of Jacksonville. In previous employments she has worked as a receptionist, executive assistant, and office manager. Her background consists of media production, photography, not for profit, and insurance. She has known Kathryn for over 15 years and is excited to be apart of a company that focuses on individual educational development.

She and her husband, Ryan,  are the proud parents of their children, Luke and Naomi. She spends her time between family, church, friends, and chasing their 9 inch Sulcata Tortoise, Stitch.

Dr. William "Bill" Cvetnic

Dr. William Cvetnic is one of our tutors. He has been a board-certified neonatologist and pediatrician for the past thirty-seven years. He has an extensive clinical and academic background, having taught in medical school classrooms, clinical settings, and as an invited lecturer and consultant. He received his undergraduate degree in cellular and molecular biology from the Johns Hopkins University and Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. After medical school, Dr. Cvetnic then completed a pediatric residency at the University of California, San Diego, served two years in the U.S. Public Health Service, followed by a fellowship in the subspecialty of neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of California, Irvine. He subsequently was a faculty member of the medical schools at UC-Irvine and the University of Pittsburgh. He was the director of the neonatal intensive care unit of Magee-Women’s Hospital of that university, and also held a faculty position at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Besides neonatal medicine, over the years he has also practiced inpatient and pediatric intensive care medicine, outpatient acute care, neonatal follow-up, developmental pediatrics, pulmonology and general office pediatrics. In the late 1990s, Dr. Cvetnic was the vice president and medical director of a consulting division of a private medical company in the Boston area. He has been teaching and preparing educational materials in basic science and clinical medicine at Kaplan, Inc. since 2004. Dr. Cvetnic has always had a great love for teaching of students at all levels. He has been the author of a number of scientific papers, chapters, abstracts and books over the years.

Louise Little

Areas of concentration: All elementary grade subjects, Biology, AP Human Geography, SAT and ACT prep (all except math parts)

Louise is one of our tutors. She has recently retired from 38 years in public education and she still has a passion for helping students of all ages be successful. She taught all secondary grades from 6 to 12 in the Social Sciences as well as post-secondary history at the community college level. She has taught AP US History, AP Psychology and AP Human Geography. She is currently in her 13th year as an AP reader for Human Geography. Louise graduated from the University of Florida in 1979 with a major in US history and a minor in Psychology. She earned her M.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies Education in 1981 from Florida. While at the University of Miami and the University of Florida she was an All-American swimmer. She was a high school All-American and co-captain of her high school swim team, Pine Crest which was named the 1974 High School National Champion in boys and girls. She has completed post-graduate coursework from Georgia State and UNF in Exceptional Student Education, specifically Varying Exceptionalities. In 2005 she was Teacher of the Year at Ed White High School and achieved National Board Certification in Young Adult Social Sciences. Louise considers herself a lifelong learner and loves to help people of all ages to succeed in learning and in sports. She has coached athletes to state titles, district titles and has several conference champions in tennis. She sees tutoring as individual academic coaching, where she finds the keys to help her students become successful learners. When she is not tutoring, she loves to travel, read, fish, golf or play tennis. She is very active in her church community where she teaches 2-3rd grade Sunday School. Louise is excited to begin a new phase in her educational career as an individual “success coach”.

Richard Amenya

Richard is one of our tutors. He graduated from Athens Technical College with an associate degree in Accounting and a previous Civil Engineering background. During college, he was selected twice on the National Dean’s List for academic excellence and volunteered tutoring classmates as well as participated in after school programs. 

At heart, he is a very passionate person who loves to breakdown complex topics in Math by making it simple, easy and fun. This drive has led him to not only teach but consult, coach and mentor. When not tutoring, he enjoys quality time with family and friends. He loves giving back to the community by volunteering to a worthy cause. 

Patty Ganzelli

Areas of concentration: English, Language Arts, Creative Writing, Essay Writing, Spanish

Patty is one of our tutors. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 2013 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and Spanish. She has been tutoring in these subjects for more than 10 years and is excited to continue helping students learn in ways that are personalized to their unique learning style. In addition to her experience in the nonprofit industry, Patty has worked in the Duval County School System as a high school English Honors and Pre-AICE English teacher as well as a Standardized Testing Coordinator.

Patty was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but has been living in Jacksonville most of her life. In her free time, she loves to watch movies, paint, read, play board games, and play with her orange cat, Dipper.

Kristen Krzywonski

Reading and Literacy EC-12, Math 4th-Geometry, Science 4th-Biology, Earth Science, Physical Science, Organizational & Personal Skills. SAT/ACT Prep.

Kristen graduated from University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Then in 2014, she graduated from Texas A&M San Antonio with a Master of Arts in Educational Administration. She has had a love of both learning and teaching since she was in 4th grade. Her teaching/tutoring experience began in 2008. She has taught 4th & 5th grade, Special Education, and provided in-home support in Texas. She also taught K-3rd varying exceptionalities in St Johns County. Her tutoring has included various subjects from elementary through college level.

Kristen is a native of south Texas but she lived in central Texas for 17 years. She moved to Jacksonville 7 years ago to be closer to family. In her spare time, Kristen loves playing fetch with her two dogs, reading, listening to music, gardening, and writing. The beach and boating with family are also favorites activities for her. 

Artina Coma

Areas of concentration: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, English, German, SAT/ACT prep.

Artina is one of our tutors. She is a Connecticut native and earned her bachelors at Southern Connecticut State University. After graduating, she has been in public education serving many roles. After being a paraprofessional and teaching assistany for 8 years, she received her Masters in Ed in School Counseling at Univeristy of North Florida. She has enjoyed her time as a school counselor but misses being in the classroom. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the beach at sunrise, playing ultimate frisbee, and is an avid soccer fan.

Seth Howell

Seth is one of our tutors. He is an East Tennessee native and earned his Bachelors in Science from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Math with Economics. He is a current Naval Officer working as a program manager in Jacksonville. He is strong in
mathematics, but has experience with most subjects. He loves to teach and develop all those he works with, as he is very passionate about growth of individuals. He wants to make learning and the challenges of academics into fun! Outside of tutoring, he loves to lift weights and travel to new places. He is very excited to help guide the next generation to be the best they can be and help reach new heights! He most recently came from living abroad in Japan! Go Navy!

Autumn Ray

Areas of concentration: Biology, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry,  Statistics, Calculus, Phsycology.

ACT/SAT Prep

Autumn Ray is one of our tutors. She attended University of North Florida and graduated in 2021 with a bachelors in Biology. Currently, she is teaching middle school science in Clay County. During her time there, she has had the opportunity to work with students with special needs and IEPs.

She finds great passion in plants and animals. Autumn owns 12 different animals of numerous species and enjoys tending her large garden. She spends most of her evenings after work reading manga or lifting weights.

Stephen Wells

Areas of concentration: Algebra 1, Geometry, Statistics, Physics, Biology, English. SAT prep.

Stephen is one of our tutors. He graduated from UNF as a Bright Futures scholar with a Bachelors in Middle Grades Math/Science Education (5-9). He is also certificated in Biology. He works as a teacher currently with 5 years of experience educating  in Duval/Clay county. He has taught an extremely diverse range of students with great success commonly seeing FAST gains of 1-3 points in final score. Stephen has received a highly effective rating for the last 2 years and effective for his beginner years. In addition, he has extensive experience with inclusion classes in his teaching career  thus increasing his ability to assist students who may have an IEP/504. He spends his free time lifting weights, working on his car, or watching anime! 

Leigh Anne Tillery

Areas of concentration: Reading and Literacy 4th-College, Math 4th-Geometry, Science 4th-Biology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Physical Science.

Leigh Anne Tillery is one of our tutors. She has a focus on Math and Science grades 4 through college. Leigh Anne graduated with a BS in Biology in 1991 and a Med in Educational Leadership in 2007. Both degrees came from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. Leigh Anne developed a love for math and science from an early age. She turned that love into a career as a teacher/tutor. Leigh Anne has been a tutor and/or teacher since 1993. Leigh Anne has taught in various schools in Columbus and South Georgia.

 

Leigh Anne and her husband are natives of Smiths Station, Alabama and moved to Jacksonville 3 years ago during the pandemic. They were high school sweethearts who got married in 2016. Leigh Anne loves the beach (it is her HAPPY place).  Leigh Anne and her husband, Preston, have 8 children between them and 2 dogs, Peanut (boxer/pit bull) and Chuy (American Bulldog).

Alex Gutierrez

Alex is one of our tutors. His passion for Math and Science surges past the textbooks and provide a more
insightful way to engage the world around him. Alex completed his Bachelors of Art in Physics at
Franklin & Marshall College with a minor focus in Latin American Spanish. He then went on to complete his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. As an engineer in the field, Alex supports the local Naval Air Station in sustaining and overhauling aircraft components. Outside of work, Alex steps into his own workshop (aka his front patio) and works on modifying car components and electrical circuits.
Tutoring naturally came to Alex as he always looked to help his fellow peers develop their own unique
way of learning new material. Driven by his own learning struggles at an early age, he believes every
student is capable of excelling in any curriculum; they just need the right support, patience, and
engagement from their instructor to be successful. Alex has tutored elementary thru college students in
the states and students with learning disabilities during an internship in Spain. Alex is excited to help the
students find a learning style that works and build up their confidence to take on more challenging
courses.
